with 20 hours ECE to children 3 to 6 years old.

At Discovery Junction, we’re not just about helping young children to learn, play and grow, we also want to help their parents where we can.

At our Early Learning Centre, located in Cholmondeley Ave, Opawa, 20 hours ECE is available to all children aged 3 to 6 years old, provided the Attestation Form has been competed in full, on, or prior to, the date of entitlement. 

A maximum of 6 hours per child per day can be claimed under the 20 Hours ECE scheme, with a maximum of 20 hours per week per child. *

Some families may be entitled to a child-care subsidy from Work and Income New Zealand. For further information, please visit www.workingforfamilies.govt.nz or speak with our Centre Manager.

* No fees are charged for the hours of care that are fully attested under 20 Hours ECE. Fees quoted are charged for the hours outside of attested hours.
